Description

We have paired our 1.37″ electromagnet with our inline coil driver to make it easy to interface with control systems. The simple 3 wire design needs only power, ground and a trigger signal to operate. The electromagnet project kit includes a 1.37″ electromagnet, inline coil driver, strike plate and mounting hardware. The driver is clearly labeled to allow easy installation of the wires. Simply tighten the wires down with a small flat head screwdriver and start using it to drive your electromagnet. The trigger is active low and floats at 5v normally. When the trigger is connected to ground or is fed a digital LOW signal the driver will activate the electromagnet.

This kit is great for the hobbyist who wants to implement electromagnets into their projects. The driver can easily be connected with an Arduino or other microcontrollers. As long as power is being supplied to the driver and the trigger signal is being held LOW the electromagnet can stay on indefinitely. The electromagnet was designed to run at 100% duty cycle and the driver is programmed in a solid state relay configuration which means it applies full power while activated.
